INEOS Polyolefins’manufacturing plant at Lillo in Belgium is located on a 45-hectare
site in the port of Antwerp, 23 kilometres north of the city center. Polymers production
began in 1992 with the manufacture of polypropylene and high-density polyethylene.
The polypropylene unit at Lillo is dedicated to the production of speciality PP
materials, particularly heat-seal resins for which INEOS is a world leader. The
ongoing evolution of the product mix is towards more sophisticated products and
capacity grown.
The HDPE plant in Lillo has a total capacity of 500,000 tons per year on two production
lines. Product applications include pressure pipe, automotive fuel tanks and blow
molding.
With about 170 people on the site, INEOS Polyolefins is applying the highest standards
for health, safety and the environment.
